All information given to familymemory.co.uk will be kept strictly confidential and will be used solely for the purpose for which it was intended. Any personally indentifiable data apart from name, address, email and telephone details will be stored using file encryption for added security. No information shall be given to any third party without the owner's consent or a court order.

Terms and conditions

Video footage collected on behalf of the client will be used solely for the purpose of editing and producing the final presentation. It will be held securely under lock and key outside of office hours. However, familymemory.co.uk accepts no liability for the loss or damage of materials after reasonable precautions to safeguard them have been taken.

Once the final presentation is made and the transaction concluded, all raw unedited footage stored on original digital tapes and any edited or unedited footage stored on computer disk will be erased by familymemory.co.uk. A master CD/DVD copy of all presentations will automatically be retained by familymemory.co.uk for the purposes of supplying future reproductions. Master copies can be supplied to the client only at our discretion and at an additional cost to be negotiated.

All other materials or artefacts supplied by the client for the purposes of archiving or any other services provided by familymemory.co.uk will be used solely for the purpose for which they are intended. We will endeavour to store all items securely under lock and key outside of office hours. However, familymemory.co.uk accepts no liability for the loss or damage of materials after reasonable precautions to safeguard them have been taken.

Copyright  issues

familymemory.co.uk will not reproduce any materials or content that may violate copyright laws. Please submit only material for which you own the master, or have authority to make copies, or for which, if requested by us, you will declare in writing that no copyright exists.

familymemory.co.uk retains the copyright on all material that is filmed with the consent of the subject. Having paid for a video biography the purchaser has unlimited viewing rights to the edited material but all reproductions must be obtained through familymemory.co.uk. All public broadcasting rights are reserved. familymemory.co.uk undertakes not to allow the broadcast of any material without the explicit permisson of the subject of the video biography or his/her heirs.

familymemory.co.uk hereby asserts its right to be identified as the author of all content appearing on this site. All rights in relation to the content are reserved by the author. No photographs, text or other content may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means or published, sold, licensed or otherwise distributed without permission from the copyright owner and in accordance with the terms agreed.
